Notarization and commissioning for common documents.
A commissioner and a notary have different powers. A notary has the powers of a commissioner and can also verify signatures and certify true copies within the scope of the appointment.

Important: Ontario permits qualifying oaths and declarations to be commissioned remotely, but current Ontario guidance says notarization cannot be performed remotely.

What is a certified true copy?
